I specialze in fly fishing and light tackle trips for redfish in the vast tidal flats and bays near Rockport, Texas. I also offer standard bay fishing trips, night fishing, and duck hunting. I have been guiding fishing trips in the Rockport area for the last 6 years, with over 10 years of experience in fishing the bays around Rockport. I earned my USCG Master Captain license at age 18, and I have been guiding trips ever since. Over the last 5 years, I have also been guiding flounder gigging trips for NightStalker Guide Service. I have experience with people of all ages and skill levels, and I always make sure that the trip is catered to what YOU want to do. For fly-fishing and light tackle trips, I use a 2008 Beavertail Osprey poling skiff. This boat is the ultimate shallow water boat for poling and sneaking up on wary reds an trout. The boat floats in 6-7" loaded and will run in 4-5" of water. I can take 1-2 people in this boat, and I primarily use it for fly fishing and light tackle trips, but it is also a very effective platform for casting live or dead bait to reds in shallow water. In this boat, there are very few places that are too shallow, and NO places for the fish to hide....

 

For bay fishing, wade fishing, night fishing, and duck hunting trips, I utilize my custom 20' Mako Backwater Edition boat. I built this boat in 2003 from the ground up to be a good all-round bay boat with lots of fishing room and storage. This boat is extremely stable and safe (high sides), and gives a very smooth ride in rough water. I can fish up to 4 people in this boat with plenty of storage room for all your gear.
