Meet Captain Gibson McGuire

Captain Gibson McGuire has been with Fly Fish Rockport for several years and is an experienced and proficient guide. He was born and raised in Austin, Texas but his love for travel and fly fishing has enticed him to try his hand at angling in many far reaching locations. This includes a summer in Montana living the “troutbum” lifestyle on the legendary Missouri River, as well as trips to Florida, Texas, and overseas. Captain Gibson’s years of fly fishing guarantee he is as comfortable on the Rivers of Central Texas catching bass as he is poling the flats of SW Texas, and his knowledge and passion for fly fishing is apparent to anyone who is fortunate enough to spend time on the water with him. When not on the water, Captain Gibson can frequently be found at the golf course for a round of nine holes with Captain Jeff.
