The storms have passed… for now, Rockport Texas fishing continues to be quite good. Schooled up redfish are seen tailing and roaming the flats. Some significantly low tides as of late have provided lots of tails out there. We have also had some really strong trout action first thing in the mornings. They are very willing to eat topwater flies.

While running between flats, we are starting to see a few schools of Jacks chasing bait on the surface. These fish are very willing to eat a fly and can run upwards of 20 lbs. Not a bad idea to have a 10wt rod strung up and ready to go. These fish will give you one hell of a fight.

Overall, Rockport Texas fishing is quite good right now. Lots of targets, lots of options and fairly stable weather for the time being. If you are interested in a Rockport Texas fishing trip, contact us and we can get you set up.
