Rockport Fishing Report – March 2nd

March is here, and a new Rockport fishing report along with it. Winter is over, not that it was that bad on the Texas Coast this year. But it had it's moments. As February leaves, and March comes in, hopefully that indicates the last of our cold fronts for the year. And that means that our first Rockport fishing report for Spring. The weather, and fishing, this past week has been pretty outstanding. With the exception of one cold blowy day from the North last Wednesday, where we had to cancel our boats, the week was amazing. The mornings were cooler, most starting out in the upper 40's or

Rockport Fishing Report – December 5th

December is here and it's time for an update to our Rockport fishing report. We're not real sure what happened to November. Sure seemed to go quick. But things are still rolling here on the Texas Coast and we will fill you in with what we've been seeing out there lately. Since our last report, about a week ago, things have continued to be steady and fish very well. In fact, not too much has changed at all. The weather has been very good around here. No reason to stay off the water at all. A couple mornings earlier this week were a bit chilly. Maybe in the high

Rockport Fishing Report – November 11th

Part way through November, and time for a new Rockport fishing report. Our Fall fishing season has been flying by so far. But we still have a good bit of prime time fishing yet to come. So we will fill you in here on what we've been seeing out there every day, and what we expect for the week coming up. Since our last report, things have picked up considerably. Particularly, after each little cold front that has pushed through. While a couple of these fronts have been pretty nasty, they have been short lived. All have only shut us down for a single day, with high winds, rain and

Rockport Fishing Report – October 18th

Here is your updated Rockport fishing report, just in time for the weekend. We will fill you in on what we've seen out on the Texas flats this past week. Also, what we expect to see the coming days. Looks like Fall fishing is finally here on the flats of Texas. After a few more hot days earlier in the week, another front blew through and helped us out a bunch. Things are finally starting to cool down a little bit. Both with the weather and the water. All this is a very good thing. Wednesday and Thursday this past week brought us our second little cold front of the

Rockport Fishing Report – May 22nd

A little behind on the Rockport Fishing Report here for the week. So we apologize for that. Been busy around here with lots of boats on the water though. So here we are with your up to the minute report from the flats in Texas. Things continue to be pretty ok around here, fishing wise. Still not great. Some days not even good. But not terrible either. We are just working hard for the fish we are seeing and catching out there still. Some days it comes together pretty well. Others, not so much. Just gotta keep picking away at them. The weather remains a pretty big pain in

Rockport Fishing Report – May 13th

Here is your Rockport Fishing Report for the second week of May. Things have been a bit interesting around here since our last report. Lot's of weather, which has been making things a bit challenging for us some days. Maybe a bit more of the same for this weeks report as well. Fishing around the flats these days has been... ok. Not good. Not great. And not terrible either. But a solid OK seems to be a pretty fair assessment. We are seeing and catching fish every day. But it hasn't been easy out there lately. It has had its moments, where the skies part and fish are plentiful.

Rockport Fishing Report – April 16th

Week number two of April is in the books. So we are updating our Rockport Fishing Report. Here is a little recap of what we have seen the past few days on the Texas flats, and what we expect for the coming week. Spring fishing is here in full force. So this is a much improved Rockport fishing report, over weeks past. So it is finally starting to look like Spring out there... for the most part. The past few days have really turned on, fishing wise. Not that it was bad before really. But the past few days have been pretty darn good out there. Certainly there a

Rockport Fly Fishing Report – April 2nd

Welcome to your first Rockport fishing report for the month of April. March ended on a little bit of a high note... for the most part. Hopefully April will finally warm up a bit more for us and kick the Spring fishing into high gear. But for now, this Rockport fishing report will cover what we've seen in the past week and what we expect for the coming days. Since our last report, things had begun to warm up a fair bit. Sunnier skies, warmer temps and reasonable winds had been common place as we were closing out the month of March. With the improvement in weather, we did

Texas Flats Fishing Report – March 23rd

Time for an updated Texas flats fishing report. We are wrapping up the second, and lighter, week of Spring Break around here. Still a busy week, but still much more mellow than last week. But tomorrow will bring that to a close, and things will return to normal down along the Texas Coast. So here is a recap of what we've been seeing this week, and what we hope to see out there next week as well. Our week started out with a bit more of the same. Cloudy, a little wind, blah blah blah. Not terrible, but still not feeling like Spring in South Texas really. We were

Texas Coast Fly Fishing Report – March 18th

Here is your Texas Coast fly fishing report for Rockport, Texas and the waters surrounding. Week one of Spring Break is in the books, and all was pretty mellow. The upcoming week is another Spring Break week, but far more calm typically. So not much to worry about there. But we will fill you in on what we saw this week, and what we expect for the coming week as well. We are still really struggling to find our Spring weather down here on the Southwest Texas Coast. This past week was another one filled with cloudy weather, showers and wind. Just as the past weekend approached, a full
