Rockport Texas Fishing Report

The storms have passed... for now, Rockport Texas fishing continues to be quite good. Schooled up redfish are seen tailing and roaming the flats. These fish are very willing to eat a fly and can run upwards of 20 lbs. Not a bad idea to have a 10wt rod strung up and ready to go.

But all that aside, it is fishing just fine. You just need to pick and choose your battles. If you see a good weather day, you better take advantage of it this time of year. Because then next four days might just be scary out there. Let's hope that this trend burns off sooner than later and we can look forward to those comfortable, sunny days of early summer soon. ---
